Lifetime Warranty Mattress | 11 Mattresses with a Lifetime Warranty in 2021
Mattress shopping can be stressful because everyone is different, and you’re trying to get the right mattress. And since you’ll sleep on your mattress for many years, you want it to last. So look for a Lifetime Warranty mattress. That means you can rest assured knowing you’re covered if your mattress is defective. At the end of this article, we’ll go more in-depth about what to expect from your mattress warranty.
These mattresses come shipped to your home in a box, you can try them out at home and return them for a full refund if you’re not satisfied. The length of time you have to return a mattress is called the sleep trial. You get a minimum of 100 nights. This is different from a warranty, which is mainly to catch defects and lasts much longer (lifetime warranties, in our list below).

Mattress Warranty Information
Mattress warranties are generally to cover manufacturing or product defects. not for preferences or general wear/tear. Be sure to read the warranty to see what’s covered. They’re all different. Usually, the warranty covers the original owner only. So if you sell or give it to someone else, the warranty won’t transfer.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires manufacturers or sellers of mattresses to have a product warranty. So they must repair or replace mattresses sold with defects or structural flaws (particularly those flaws that might interfere with the intended purpose of the item in question). Warranties must be in writing.
Warranty Specifications
Treatment and condition of mattress. Some online mattresses require that you put your mattress on a certain type of frame or it can void the warranty. Others specify that the mattress must be in good condition, which is another reason to always get a waterproof mattress protector.
Sagging. Even though we all wish mattresses wouldn’t sag, normally, sagging has to be very dramatic for it to be covered. This list has beds with 1″ to 2″ indents to qualify for a warranty claim. And they don’t usually cover replacements for subjective things, like if you think your mattress is too soft or firm (or it changes over time).
Costs and Who Pays
You may be asked to pay some charges, such as shipping, or look at repair rather than getting a replacement. On this list, we give our highest recommendations to the following that we’ve worked with: Nolah, Nest Bedding, and Layla. The others on the list may be unknown (not assumed to be poor). Note that Nectar, Awara, and Dreamcloud are owned by the same company.
Generally speaking, you pay more for hybrids (they weigh more because there’s actual steel inside and they tend to be thicker), organic mattresses, and mattresses with a longer warranty. The heavier the mattress, normally the higher the quality. And shipping costs are higher with mattresses that weigh more. Keep this in mind when mattress shopping.
What if the company goes out of business?
Online mattresses have been around for about 10 years now. If the company goes out of business, your warranty will no longer be valid. This happened to me once with the Voila mattress. It was highly rated by Consumer Reports, making their top 5 lists more than once. We loved the mattress. However, after a year, it jutted out on one side where the glue gave out. They sent us another one at no cost. A year later, the new replacement mattress had the exact same problem. This is likely why they went out of business. We haven’t heard of this happening with any other online brand, but it made me aware that these are the types of issues that make a warranty important.
Keep in mind that even mattresses that have been around for much longer have issues like this sometimes. Though rare, it happens. That’s why there are warranties, to catch problems that happen. Some mattresses are made in different factories and are slightly different. They can change from one manufacturer or one material to another for various reasons (supply changes, cost, etc.).
What’s the Warranty if Purchased through Amazon?
Be aware that if you buy a cheap mattress on Amazon, you may pay less, but they usually have more limited warranties – sometimes not even as long as buying the mattress from the brand’s website. Most of the time, you’re going to go through Amazon’s customer service first, not the mattress company or manufacturer.
This is from Amazon’s website;
