Nest Bedding Sparrow Mattress

Nest Bedding Mattresses Goes to the Birds

This has to be one of the more strange rebrands I’ve written about in the mattress industry. Nest Bedding recently changed the names of their products to be names of birds. Now instead of just a nest to lay your head on, there’s a whole new flock of bird-named mattresses to choose from.

Established in 2011 and based in the USA, Nest Bedding is a family-owned, factory-direct mattress and bedding company. They offer organic, natural, and certified luxury products online and in showrooms across the United States.

A NEW FLOCK of Mattress Names

Inspired by birds, as the mattresses were when Nest Bedding first launched, the names include:

  • SPARROW (formerly Alexander Signature Hybrid) 12″ Hybrid Mattress in plush, medium, or firm with a European pillow top.
  • OWL (formerly Natural Hybrid Latex) 12.5″ Hybrid Mattress in plush, medium, or firm with a European pillow top.
  • FINCH (formerly All Latex, Natural) 10.5″ Natural Latex Mattress in medium or firm with a European pillow top.
  • QUAIL (formerly Love & Sleep) 10″ all Memory Foam Mattress in medium or firm
  • ROBIN (formerly Flip Hybrid) 10″ Affordable memory foam flippable hybrid mattress with two firmness levels in one bed, medium/firm
  • PUFFIN (formerly BKB Big Kid’s Bed) 7″ all foam kid’s bed in twin, twin XL or full sizes in firm only

New Mattress for Little Birds

Nest also has a new addition called The LnesARK, their first kid’s mattress made from natural, OEKO-TEX® Certified Dunlop Latex. Comes in twin, twin XL, and full sizes. Firm only. 7″ height.

NEW 365-SLEEP TRIAL for all luxury Nest Bedding Mattresses

With these changes, there are also changes to the length of Nest Bedding’s sleep trial on some mattresses. The sleep trial will is extended to 365 days for all luxury (not kids) mattresses. Nest Bedding customers will now have a full year to fall in love with their Nest. Before this change, sleep trials were 100 days.

MATERIALS UPDATE

Aside from the aesthetic changes, The Sparrow (formerly the Alexander Signature Hybrid) will now be using a 6” coil system, changing the total height to 12”. With this change, Nest’s top-selling hybrid mattresses will be the same height and can be side by side to make a split king.

Discontinuing Flippable Mattress

Nest also announced they are retiring the Alexander Signature Series Flippable mattress at this time. “Without the ability to swap or replace the foam layers, this mattress no longer meets our standards or mission of sustainability.”
